SSG Admin Portal v2

We're pleased to announce v2 of the SSG Admin Portal — our largest update to the portal to date. v2 brings a refreshed, more modular interface, a more secure sign-in experience, and significant new capabilities across customer management, routing, billing, reporting and configuration, plus dozens of workflow improvements throughout.

A redesigned, modular interface

  • Refreshed dashboard with redesigned supplier and customer SMSC status indicators: clean status "pills" with health-based colour coding (operational, bind down, submit suspended, disabled/unknown), and click-through to open the relevant supplier SMSC or customer SMPP account directly.
  • New customer SMPP accounts overview on the dashboard.
  • Revised login screen and updated layout throughout.

Stronger security and sign-in

  • Passkey sign-in for passwordless, phishing-resistant authentication using your device's biometrics or PIN — recommended over a traditional password. Read more about logging in with passkeys.
  • Auto-logout warning so you're never signed out unexpectedly mid-task — a countdown dialog appears first with a "Stay Logged In" option, and auto-logout can be toggled on or off.
  • Auditable portal access logging for improved visibility of sign-in activity.

Editing made safer and simpler

  • "Unsaved changes" safeguards on the Customer SMPP and Supplier SMSC dialogs — a clear warning badge, a highlighted Save button, and prompts before you cancel or close with pending edits.
  • Cleaner on/off toggle switches for SMPP account settings.

Customer management

  • Customer filters across the SMPP accounts and contacts grids to quickly narrow down to a single customer, with Excel export.
  • Balance warnings — set upper and lower balance thresholds per customer, plus internal notification email addresses to be alerted when a customer's balance crosses them.
  • Do Not Disturb (DND) lists — manage per-account DND lists, including bulk import, with the DND list API key enabled by default.
  • Quick customer creation for faster onboarding.

Faster supplier price changes

  • A streamlined workflow in Suppliers > Routes: drag and drop a supplier's price-change CSV onto the Routes pane to import it — the upload wizard opens with the file pre-loaded and uploaded automatically, ready to apply.

Routing improvements

  • Source address-based routing and inbound SMS routing by content pattern.
  • Bulk delete and reassign for inbound SMS routing entries, plus new dropdown list filters to manage large routing tables more easily.
  • Bulk MSISDN import for inbound routing.
  • SMSC group API ID support for easier integration.
  • An improved rules editor, with routing scripts and data topics for programmable, cost- and data-driven routing.
  • Faster message lookup powered by the Management API.

Billing, invoicing and CDRs

  • Download invoices as a ZIP by month, and written-off invoices by year.
  • Invoice emailing and overdue reminders directly from the invoices grid.
  • Billing statements for a consolidated view of customer billing activity.
  • Customisable email templates for portal-generated emails.
  • Pricing plans can be downloaded and emailed on demand.
  • On-demand CDR retrieval and downloads (MT and MO), including the previous day's records, and via the Management API.

Reporting and tools

  • User-selectable time zone for date/time display in message lookup, latest messages and reports, configurable from your user preferences.
  • Enhanced Customers report showing both MT and MO volumes per customer, with a customer name filter.
  • Enhanced supplier SMSC management, including connection controls and testing.

Configuration

  • Email address verification for the sender addresses used for sales, support and invoice emails, directly from the portal.
  • Traffic alarm notifications to Slack or Google Chat via an incoming webhook, with a built-in "send test" check.
  • On-demand SMPP configuration emails to send a customer their connection details when needed.
  • Company configuration and pricing upload enhancements.

Coming soon

  • Automatic processing of supplier price changes received by email, removing the manual import step entirely.
