April 2024

The following are currently in development and are expected to be released before the end of the month, or have already been released this month:

  • Suppliers > Routes: Importing supplier pricing now also supports CSV files with following columns: COUNTRY, NETWORK, MCC, MNC, RATE, RATE_START_DATE, CHANGE_TYPE.
  • Routing > Routing editor: Network weights for Net-RR can now be changed in the routing editor.

December 2023

November 2023

September 2023

  • A default source address (sender ID) can now be set for each SMPP account. This is currently used in the txtConsole Broadcast and Pager applications as the source address that is set by default when composing messages.

Enhanced

  • Reporting database upgrade to increase performance

Fix

  • Issue fixed where Supplier > Routes would hang when sorting by network and "Add route" or "Change cost" buttons were clicked.

August 2023

  • Revenue, cost and margin report added at Reports > Customers > Margin.
  • New supplier report added to show at-a-glance spend for each supplier. See Suppliers > Summary. Breakdown by country/network now in Suppliers > Detail.

Enhancement

  • Pricing > Plan prices now shows network MNCs when adding new pricing and includes search boxes for dropdown lists.
  • Supplier > Routes now shows network MNCs when adding new routes and includes search boxes for dropdown lists.
  • Filter messages by MO, MT or both in Status > Messages (latest) and Status > Message lookup.
  • Invoice being sent to customer with postpay account balance will result in invoice being applied to their balance. Will show on statements.
  • Dashboard graphs now with vertical indicator line and clearer tooltips when mouseover on data points/lines.
  • Added dropdown lists in Routing > Profile members where routing profile can be selected to more easily show members (i.e. SMSC groups) of a profile. Also now available in other section.
  • Reports section menu layout improved.
  • SMPP Client character set support updated. Now assumes GSM character set for DCS 0. Converts message characters to GSM values when DCS set to 0. See https://melroselabs.com/tools/smppclientproxy/

Enhancements

  • ✅ Rules now support the trimming of source address digits.
  • ✅ When configuration is no longer required, it is now possible to remove it from your SSG instance and "archive" it. Archiving has now been extended to:
    • Services: See Configuration > Services section.
    • Routing profiles: See Routing section.
    • Pricing: See Configuration > Pricing section.
  • ✅ Customer pricing changes can now be entered in the Pricing > Pricing changes section and result in the automatic generation of pricing change notification emails for customers. Notifications can be seen in Customers > Notifications where they can then be sent. Price change email uses "Pricing: Pricing change notification to customers" template from Configuration > Company > Email templates or default email content if none defined.

April 2023

The following are currently in development and are expected to be released before the end of April 2023:

  • ✅ Routing scripts. Define routing using scripts and associate with routing profiles. Enables finer control and improved management of routing. Update currently deployed on Germany SSG location (eu-de.mlsmpp.net) and IE staging platform (SMPP IP: 3.251.5.16). See Scripts for documentation (work-in-progress).
  • ✅ TPS (SMS/sec) for each SMPP bind by a customer can be viewed in Status > Customer TPS. The total count of messages submitted, messages throttled and MO/DLRs returned are also shown. Update currently deployed on Germany SSG location (eu-de.mlsmpp.net) and IE staging platform (SMPP IP: 3.251.5.16).

    • All production SSG sites
    • IE staging platform (SMPP IP: 3.251.5.16)
  • ✅ When configuration is no longer required, it is now possible to remove it from your SSG instance and "archive" it. Use with:

  • txtConsole Broadcast application now allows the download of report CDRs. Select the individual broadcast from the Outbox to show send details (send status, delivery status, delivery latency) and then click "Export data (CDRs)".
