Account credit release
We have improved the management of credit when customers are connecting and disconnecting from the SSG. This will mean that the customer is less likely to have messages rejected when they have a low balance.
When a customer submits a message, a low customer balance (<1000 credits) can result in some message submissions being rejected if the customer has recently been connected to another SSG node. It's not normal for the customer to do this, but this sort of connection behaviour can occur more frequently when the customer is testing. It can also happen when using txtConsole as it connects, submits a batch of messages, and then disconnects. The effect is that the customer cannot submit messages.
We have improved the management of customer balances so that when the customer unbinds/disconnects, the credit allocated to the SSG node to which they were connected is immediately released. Previously, the credit would be released after a period of time and this would cause there to be no available credit to be allocated to another node for the customer's submissions.
This improvement is currently being tested on our staging platform. We will roll it out after testing has been completed and will update this release note at that time.
